    • Wake up to the embrace of comfort and tranquillity, where a hearty breakfast and a cup of tea or coffee await you on the veranda. Your day kicks off with a private 4WD transfer to the northernmost segment of the Great Walk: Lake Garawongera, the Valley of the Giants, and the surrounding areas. Please note that the exact route itinerary may vary based on tides.

Good-quality hiking boots, preferably with ankle support, are essential. Make sure you wear them in before your walk to help avoid blisters.

K'gari's diverse landscape means walkers experience a variety of terrain and vegetation. While many sections have gentle gradients, some sections are steeper and include Grade 3 and Grade 4 walking tracks.

These are natural bush tracks, so you should expect leaf litter, sand and uneven surfaces. Walkers need a good level of fitness and balance and should be steady on their feet.

We recommend preparing for your K'gari walk by completing regular longer day walks in natural environments while carrying a small day pack.
